Job Overview

The Human Resource Director leads core HR processes to deliver best practices that are in line with the Organization’s Strategies and goals. This role will oversee the administration of all human resource functions and lead and develop a high-performing HR team.

What do I need?

  • University degree or Masters in HRM, Business Administration, Commerce, Psychology or related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of HR work experience with 2-5 years as a Director of HR, or Senior HR Manager.
  • A solid understanding of applicable Malaysian Employment and Human Rights legislation.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and consulting skills.
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional with strong discretion and confidentiality practices.
  • Communicating with kindness, empathy and courtesy.

What will I do?

  • Provide expert advice on the interpretation and application of Company policies and applicable legislations.
  • Provide guidance to the management team on specialized and sensitive human resources issues including discipline, investigations, and terminations.
  • Partner with management to understand long-term organizational goals, identify areas of opportunity and implement human resource initiatives that meet short-term and long-term growth strategies.
  • Lead the ongoing evolution of the Performance Review System to support a culture based on high performance and talent development.
  • Oversee the entire talent acquisition cycle from sourcing, prospecting to on-boarding.
  • Identify and assess training needs that support the Organization’s objectives; Conduct all in-house training.
  • Conduct regular reviews of compensation structure including participation of Compensation & Benefits.
  • Maintain and revise the company’s handbook on policies and procedures.
  • Design and deliver HR progress reporting presentations to Senior Management.
  • Culture champion for the Organization - drives effective implementation of Company culture & values.
  • Experience in managing foreign employment professional work permits and renewals.
