As one of the pioneers in the SOLS Education ecosystem, Kiran studied ACCA chartered accounting and was working as an operations and accounts manager for 10 years before following her calling to learn and serve as an educator in 2005.
Being trained and mentored by AHHA Education Founder, Dr. Madenjit Singh and SOLS Foundation Founder-CEO, Teacher Raj Ridvan Singh, she helped set up the first SOLS 24/7 Youth Development Centre in Melaka, Malaysia, eventually managing the programmes and teaching her first group of students like their second parent in character development, leadership and English.
With years of experience running youth development programmes under her belt, Kiran has pioneered the opening of SOLS India, ran a full-time training and boarding programme with the poorest communities and training them to run their own canters.
After being certified to implement the launch of the upgraded English programme she led the AHHA Education Timor Leste team as Country Director and Head of Education, managing 200 teachers and trainees and more than 3,000 students. She led her team to better serve the underprivileged in Timor Leste and worked with the government to train thousands of Timorese youth in English and character development for job placement in foreign countries.
Bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in leadership, management, education, teacher training and course development, Kiran is now setting her sights on further developing the quality of education in Malaysia and contributing to nation-building in her home country.
