The Operations Executive for SOLS Foundation’s Solar Academy programme is an entry-level position designed for young professionals who are eager to learn and develop their administrative, logistical, and organisational skills.
In this hands-on role, you’ll ensure smooth operations by maintaining student records, supporting enrollment, coordinating events, managing logistics and supporting the teaching team. This is a dynamic position with activities both in the academy and externally. The position is hands-on and provides exposure to a nonprofit environment focused on empowering individuals to gain better life outcomes.

What do I need?
To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have:
- A fresh graduate or someone with up to 1 year of experience in operations, administration or a related field.
- Proficient in using spreadsheets and basic reporting tools with a high level of attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- A valid driver’s license (D : manual and automatic) for transportation tasks.
- Willingness to perform hands-on tasks and assist in logistics.
- Team player with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Has a flexible mindset and ability to adapt when external factors affect programme activities.
- Strong relationship building skills, and ability to connect with students from different socio-economic backgrounds.
What will I do?
In this role you will:
- Administrative support: Assist with managing student records, preparing timetables, monitoring budget expenditure, handling official correspondence and preparing reports.
- Logistics assistance: Support logistics-related tasks such as managing office supplies, coordinating transportation, and handling collection and delivery of in-kind donations.
- Programme support: Assist teachers during classes and activities and help with the student recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Event coordination: Help plan and organise monthly events and activities, including those with external volunteers.
- Data and reporting: Collect data, prepare reports, and develop basic templates for documentation.
- General office tasks: Perform tasks like photocopying, filing, data entry, and ensuring smooth office operations.
