SAWA Participant Criteria

  • Orang Asli or Orang Asal (Indigenous) woman, aged 21–40
  • Able to read, write, and count
  • Able to live in Kuala Lumpur for 12 months (home visits allowed)
  • Committed to working as an educator in your own community after graduating
  • Mothers are encouraged to apply (note: SAWA does not provide childcare. Childcare arrangements must be made independently during the programme)
  • Must pass a selection interview
