Irina is a highly motivated educator with rich international experience who strongly believes that the purpose of education is primarily to make a visible impact and change, therefore it needs constant revision and improvement through innovation and catering to the specific community and individual needs.
She started her international career in a renowned boarding school in Denmark which opened the doors for expanding her vision and experience across 4 continents, through various educational visits and projects in Portugal, the United States, Zambia and Cambodia. This provided her with in-depth cross-cultural knowledge and a better understanding of different educational systems around the world.
Irina joined SOLS 24/7 in 2019 as an International Trainer for university students and since then she has been broadening her expertise in teaching English, soft skills training, programme coordination, content development, instructional design, monitoring and evaluation. In Malaysia, she has developed a keen interest in the B40 community. By gaining specific knowledge of their needs and challenges, she has turned her global experience as an educator and a community worker into a mission to deliver quality education and empower young people with great potential and lack of resources for higher education and employment.
She holds a degree in English linguistics and literature as well as the Prince's Trust International certificates in mentoring, advisor training and safeguarding of children and young people.
Currently, she is in charge of the overall management of Achieve, the programme delivered to the underserved communities in Malaysia in partnership with Prince's Trust International from the United Kingdom.
